​Comprehension Strategy
Ask and Answer Questions-reread and look for details.
 
Comprehension Skill
Point of View-identify what the narrator thinks based off actions and reactions made by the character in the story.
 
Genre
Realistic Fiction-made-up story that has events, character, and setting that seem like real life.
 
Grammar
Contractions with Not.
 
Writing
Narrative text/Poetry-this includes fictional narratives (which are made-up stories that include a problem and solution) and Poetry (where feeling and ideas are expressed in writing).
Prompts:
  • Tell about a time you or someone you knew solved a problem. Use dialogue in your story.
  • Think about who you would go to if you had a problem you could not solve. Think about what you would say to that person and what he or she might say to you.
